For eleven days the Forge Legion and the Last United Front have torn the surface of Kethra-9 apart. A barren rock, worthless but for the metal in its crust. Neither side expected resistance from the planet itself.
Seismic teams on both sides are reporting the same thing. The craters left by the heaviest bombardments are not cooling. Something down there is warm. Something down there is moving.
Front scouts near the Kethra rift describe pools of glowing acid that weren't on any survey map, and a sound beneath the ground, a rhythm, like thousands of legs moving at once. Legion drill crews stopped answering their channels on the ninth night. Their last transmission was a single word, repeated until the signal died.
Command on both sides has classified everything. But the tremors are getting stronger, and whatever the war woke up is coming to the surface.
Stay tuned, pilots. Kethra-9 is about to get crowded.
